BEST TIME TO VISIT HUA HIN
About Hua Hin
Hua Hin, another popular seaside resort city on the Gulf of Thailand, which is about 200 km from Southwest of Bangkok. Hua Hin was the first and most popular beach resort in the country for most of the young couples, families, foreign tourists and even local Thais during weekend. Hua Hin is also the location of the King of Thailand’s summer Palace, Klai Kang Won, which means “Far from Worries.” The 6 km beach offers a beautiful, powdery sand beach, numerous beach side seafood restaurants, spa, a lively night market, sunbathing, snorkeling and some great inland activities like visiting the caves, hilltop Buddhist Temple, waterfalls & nearby national parks.
Best Time To Visit Hua Hin
Hua Hin has a tropical wet & dry climate which is quite similar to Bangkok & Pattaya. Historically, temperatures are very warm to hot throughout the year, with only small variations. The year begins with the dry season (December–April), before the monsoon arrives in May. Rains ease somewhere from June to August before the heaviest rains begin in September and continue through November. As such, still the best time to visit Hua Hin is from December–April.
How To Go
There are many ways to reach Hua Hin, by bus, cars, train or even ferry if you transfer from Pattaya. There is also an airport known as Hua Hin Airport (HHQ), but I’m afraid there aren’t many direct flights straight to Hua Hin & not even from Bangkok. Please check & compare your flight here.
- Hua Hin Airport (HHQ)
- Bangkok Hua Lamphong Railway Station – Hua Hin Train Station (By train about 4.5 hours)
- Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) –By Car (About 200 km, 3 hours journey)
- Bali Hai Pier, Pattaya – Khao Ta Kiab Pier, Hua Hin By Ferry (About 1 hour)
