NIGHTLIFE IN BANGKOK
Bangkok has a reputation as an important destination in the “adult industry” abroad. Bangkok has acquired the nickname “Sin City of Asia” for its level of sex tourism. Nightlife in Bangkok is tremendously wild & vibrant. In certain areas like Sukhumvit and Khao San Road, some bars are allowed to stay open till 02:00 or the whole night. One of the main party areas in Bangkok is Silom, home not only to Patpong, perhaps the world’s most famous go-go bar strip, but also to plenty of more legitimate establishments that cater for all levels of tourists.
Reminder: Smoking is prohibited in all restaurants, bars and nightclubs, whether they’re air-conditioned or not. It’s enforced at some venues, but in areas such as Nana Plaza, the ordinance is flouted.
